EU Battery Regulation
Digital Product Passports become mandatory for EV batteries, with full lifecycle data — including carbon footprint and recycled content — attached to every QR code.
ESG Data Hub · Australia → EU
LithoMiner creates a verified digital twin of every shipment — from Australian ore to EU battery cell. One ESG dataset, formatted for every regulator, registry and report on the path. Raw data never leaves Australia.
The regulatory surface
The EU is turning ESG data from a PDF into a product requirement. Mines, shippers, refiners and battery plants each hold a fragment — and none of them speak the same format. LithoMiner is the layer that assembles, verifies and delivers the full record.
Digital Product Passports become mandatory for EV batteries, with full lifecycle data — including carbon footprint and recycled content — attached to every QR code.
Geolocation and due-diligence records must prove raw inputs are traceable to a specific plot, facility and extraction event — not just a country of origin.
Embedded emissions must be declared per shipment for goods entering the EU. Recalculating this data for every export, in every format, is a recurring cost — we eliminate it.
The supply chain · lithium, as example
Australian mines produce raw lithium. Spodumene concentrate ships to China for refining. Lithium hydroxide ships from China to EU battery manufacturers. Today, the data about that journey is scattered across four organisations in three jurisdictions — and assembled by hand, per shipment, per regulator.
Spodumene concentrate, 6.3% Li₂O. ESG baseline captured at extraction: emissions, water, land, community.
Data producerLithium hydroxide, 5.6%. Refining emissions and process data appended to the same record chain.
Data producerEV battery assembled. Full passport issued to the EU DPP registry; QR code carries the complete lineage.
Data consumerAt every node, the record is extended — never rewritten. Each handoff appends a signed, hashed entry. The digital twin of the batch carries its full provenance from pit to cell, and any party with a scoped share can verify any link in the chain.
The platform
LithoMiner collects, processes and stores ESG data at the source — in Australia — then issues formatted, scoped views to whoever needs them. You keep ownership. We make it instant for everyone else.
Standardised ESG data capture at the mine gate — emissions, water, land use, transport legs — from existing systems and sensors.
Every record is validated, timestamped and SHA-256 chained — an immutable audit trail from first entry to final passport.
Raw data residency in Australia, encrypted at rest. What leaves the border is scoped, formatted output — never your operational source.
Scoped, role-based data views: a regulator gets compliance fields, a battery plant gets passport inputs, an auditor gets the full chain.

One hub · two sides
Feed the record at the source
The ESG Data Hub — collect, verify, store in Australia, share worldwide.
Read exactly what they need
Value proposition · for mines
You are the source of the record. LithoMiner is engineered so that you stay its owner — with the reporting burden removed, the export cost flattened, and access to your data on your terms.
We create a hashed, auditable twin of each batch of raw material you ship. The source record stays in Australia under your ownership; the clone carries signed proofs to shippers, refiners, regulators and the EU registry — verifiable by anyone who holds a scoped share.
Stop re-preparing ESG data for every shipment and every counterparty. Prepare once at the source; LithoMiner issues formatted, regulator-specific views on demand — cutting recurring per-export data preparation cost.
Decide exactly who sees what. Manufacturers get passport inputs, importers get custody proofs, agencies get compliance fields. No blanket disclosure, no losing control of operational data.
Raw data never leaves Australia. Encrypted at rest, served from in-country infrastructure — sovereignty by architecture, not policy.
When an agency, importer or auditor asks for the record, it's already formatted and ready. Hours of preparation become seconds of access.
The platform is built around your ownership of your operational data — with value-added collection, processing and storage services wrapped around it, not instead of it.
Product & service guarantees
Seven commitments, written into our service terms from day one of general availability.
Roadmap
Decades of mining and data engineering experience assembled. Well-funded for quick build-out and scale-up, with established presence in Australia and Ireland.
Core platform — collection, hashing, residency and scoped sharing — prototyped end-to-end. Now in final stages of validation with real shipment data.
Direct dialogues underway with EU battery plants on passport data requirements, integration paths and pilot batch definitions.
First Australian mines, shippers and refiners onboard. Real batches tracked through the full AU → CN → EU route under contract guarantees.
Platform live. Digital passports issued to the EU DPP registry, QR verification open, and all seven service guarantees in force.
About us
LithoMiner was founded by a team that has spent decades on both sides of this problem — in the mine and in the data stack. We know what an export actually costs to paper, and we know how to build systems regulators can audit.
Early access · founding partners
We're onboarding founding partners across mining, logistics and refining ahead of Q4-2026 general availability. Tell us where you sit on the route — we'll map what your data flow looks like on LithoMiner.
Thank you — our partnerships team will be in touch within two business days.
